The Role of Topographical Surveys in Waste Management

Recently, our surveying team completed a comprehensive topographical survey at a local waste management site, a key project aligned with our sustainability goals. The survey aimed to support ongoing efforts to implement environmentally sound waste management practices and reinforced our dedication to using data-driven solutions to support responsible land use.

Using the Trimble S7 Total Station and the R10 GNSS receiver, our skilled surveying team collected highly accurate data tp meet the client’s requirements. This high-precision equipment allowed us to efficiently and accurately map the site while keeping the disturbance to local wildlife at a minimum.

With their knowledge and experience, our team made the most of real-time data and accurate positioning to guide important project decisions. By combining our expertise with innovative equipment, we delivered results that exceeded expectations while respecting the natural environment.

Supporting Environmental Protection Through Data

Through our survey, we captured detailed information about terrain, gradients and site boundaries, which will be crucial for the waste management site.

This information will allow our client to design effective drainage systems that prevent harmful runoff and soil erosion. It will also identify suitable locations for waste storage cells and access routes, minimising disruption to nearby wildlife habitats. This information will enable the client to develop operational plans that prioritise environmental protection, safeguard local wildlife and support long-term sustainability.
