Tri-Tech recently attended the annual GENIE, Geospatial Engineering Undergraduate careers fair at Newcastle University. Discovering Land Surveyors in the North East.
This is a great way for us to introduce ourselves and inspire the next generation of engineering surveyors to join our exciting and ever growing industry.
Joe Haines, one of our senior surveyors who also graduated from Newcastle University in 2016, gave an informative presentation to the students demonstrating what the university and our industry can achieve when we work closely together.
Genie – Geospatial Engineering in Newcastle Industry Engagement, ran again successfully on the 13th October 2022. The event has now run for over 20 years and it was fantastic to see over 25 Geospatial companies exhibiting and talking to our undergraduates students. The annual event is an annual highlight for the students, enabling students to create contacts within the industry and securing placements and graduate jobs. It is a very dynamic and vibrant event, which is acknowledged by Newcastle University and the Geospatial industry alike. After Geobusiness it is one of the biggest events for the geospatial industry to meet, network and engage with the future people of the profession.
