There may not be any scheduled flights at Newcastle International Airport during the night but that doesn’t mean the airport goes to sleep, in fact the runways are almost as busy throughout the night as they are during the day. The nightshift starts and the race is on to complete the scheduled maintenance in order for the runways to be ready for the next days first arrivals and departures.
A team of over 100 operatives with heavy plant machinery dig up, level resurface and paint metres of runway in a night in order for it to be ready to use again at 6am.
Our surveyors are performing essential tasks such as setting out and surfacing checks and following up with accurate asbuilt surveys.
Tri-Tech have been pivotal in the rehabilitation works of Newcastle International Airport and our commitment to deliver high quality results on such a large scale scheme are second to none.
